Our Story

St Boniface Church is 60 years old.  It has always tried to be a blessing to the Quinton community and over the years thousands of people’s lives have been enriched and changed by being part of the St Bs family in one way or another.

Sunday is a moment for the whole community to come together, share life and feel part of something bigger.  Throughout the week there is always loads going on and something for all ages.

Throughout the year St Bs is a hub of life and hosts key moments for Quinton on bonfire night, Christmas, summer holiday clubs and more.  If you would like updates on these events and other key community activities you can do so on this site.

Why Angels on the Walls?

In the 1980s a criminal gang used to meet outside the church, dealing drugs and intimidating the community.  The church was determined to be a light in the darkness and stand up for the community so the church family began to pray.  Within weeks of praying, this long established gang had completely disbanded and was nowhere to be seen.  At this time, several people completely independently reported seeing angels on the walls outside the church and standing guard.  This was a key moment in our story and we have taken it as the theme for this celebration of our 60th birthday.

We don’t worship angels, we worship Jesus.  But we believe that there is more to life than what we can see and that sometimes people see angels as a reflection of the spiritual world in which we live.

At St Boniface Church we are not about religion or looking for a spiritual experience.  For us it is all about Jesus.  Jesus really lived, really died, really rose again and because of him we can know God for ourselves and become all we were created to be.  This is the story we would love you to hear through these angels.
